Twilight and Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber

Image
I just purchased Twilight by Stephenie Meyers . I have heard that it is a great love story with intensity (high school love can be intense, right) jumping off the pages. I'm sure it helps the angst that Belle is in love with a Vampire. At any rate, I refuse to watch the movie until I have read the book. Since I do not know when I will actually get to the book, I will stick it on my shelf with my growing stack of read-someday-books. All Twilight Speaking of ultimate love stories, Elizabeth Webber was actually in a scene with Jason Morgan today. Woot woot. I am a little unnaturally obsessed with this soap couple or non-couple on General Hospital and always have been. I have no idea why and it is a crazy. Regardless, I was so glad to watch them for 2 seconds. I haven't watched General Hospital since they started pimping Jason and Sam again, but I am going to set my DVR for Liason tomorrow.

General Hospital Sweeps & Spoilers

General Hospital- Thank goodness sweeps are about to start because it has been a snooze fest lately. Now, they are throwing Leyla and Patrick in my face all the time which only makes me fast forward through. I'm not really feeling the so-called mob drama; Sonny and Kate bore me at this point; Carly is getting on my nerves; I am not feeling Lulu and Logan mess; Georgie needs to stop dancing around Spin and let him know what's up; I don't like Jason's hair; and someone else needs to die. The only highlight in the past few weeks has been Nicholas going off on people. He has been great to watch. Spoilers I have been reading that more people are going to get killed (Alfred maybe). The murders are not mob related but serial killer type stuff. Patrick is going to try to stop Robin on her pursuit of a sperm donor. Kate has a secret. The Liason (Jason and Elizabeth) baby secret it going to come out. And the ball that Nicholas is throwing is going to be where all the sweeps drama...

Nicholas in a Rage

Nicholas Cassadine, the prince of the Cassadine Empire, has always been mild-mannered, well-spoken and self-controlling up until recently. The transformation in the anger boy 2 (I still miss Taggart) started with fits of temper at the most trivial things until it progressed to outright beating people up if they looked at him wrong. Honestly, Nicholas’ bout of rage is the best thing that has happened to General Hospital lately. In the last couple of weeks, I have looked forward to whom will get the brunt of Nicholas’ anger. Tyler Christopher is doing a fabulous job of exhibiting his rage while at the same time portraying that he does not know what is happening to him. The instances in which he tries to control himself are classic. So far Nicholas has gone off on Alexis a couple of times, got short with Emily on several occasions, attacked Jerry more each time he saw him, choked Logan Hayes and beat him nearly to a pulp on another occasion. I cannot forget to mention all the times he fle...

At the Altar of Sonny

Kate Howard comes to Port Charles to get away from the drama in the city. Instead of finding the peace and quiet she was looking for she found her long lost, high school sweetheart Sonny Corinthos. She should have taken head when his past women including his lawyer advised her to run as far away from him as possible. Of course, she did not. She stayed his neighbor and became intimately involved with him. Trevor Lansing, the reincarnation of Satan’s spawn, comes in to the picture, forcing her to choose between the two of them. Kate believing she was taking the high road refused to give in to Trevor’s not so subtle demands. Trevor decides that her refusal was decision enough, insisting that she chose Sonny over him. In reality, it is the most childish display of possessiveness from a grown (old at that) man; however, Trevor makes it worst. He decides that the only way to make Sonny pay is to hurt Kate. He drugs her, she gets busted for DUI, and then he gets her fired from Couture magazin...

General Hospital's Lucky and Sam Get it On

This week after trying to get his wife to make love- actually just have sex- and failing miserably, Lucky Spencer trots on over to Sam’s apartment to let out his frustrations, horizontally. He does not even bother to hide it from his brother as he kicks Nicholas out of Sam’s apartment. I know there are LuSam fans out there, and I apologize for how I am about to go off. The whole scene was a huge bowl of absolute disgust to me. First off the powers that be ( TPTB ) ticked me off because of two things: Lucky telling Sam that she’s so beautiful and their conversation about no regrets. As a ridiculous (I will admit it) and sometimes irrational (I will admit that too) Liz and Jason Morgan ( Liason ) fan, I saw it as drawing a parallel to Liason ’s night of passion ( NOP ). I felt that even the hint of a comparison is a complete insult to the wonderful baby-making night Jason and Elizabeth Spencer shared. First off I think Greg Vaughn and Kelly Monaco are absolutely spectacular. They...

General Hospital's Bold Bitches

Lulu Spencer, Leyla, and Samantha McCall These women had me so heated today that I just had to post something real quick. This is for my fellow General Hospital fans, of course. Lulu Spencer just came back from vacation and already thinks she can bust into people's office and tell them what to do. Not to mention that when she made her appearance she gave Spinelli and Georgie much attitude for no real reason. Then Logan came in to Kelly's and all was right with her world. After learning that Logan was fired from Sonny's organizations, Lulu marches over to the coffee shop to convince (demand is more like it) that he hire Logan back. Never mind that the chick does not know all the facts. She is touting all of Logan's great qualities and putting herself on the line for vouching for him. It is really a shame that all that will crumble around her when she finds out about the bet that Logan made with Maxie and that he was actually paid (he bet Maxie a night of sex if he g...

A Little Mobster in the Making

Image
This week on General Hospital, Leticia, the Corinthos’ nanny, was found strangled to death. Carly and Jason were doubling back to the house to pick her up so that the boys can live with Sonny until the mob threat was over. Jason thought he saw a shadow of something in the bushes and told Carly to go into the house while he checked the sound out. Carly walked in to her home only to find poor Leticia strangled on the floor. They called the police. Mac and Rodriguez retain them for questioning for a little bit but then allows Jason to take Carly to her children. Lucky is called to the scene away from a dinner he was supposed to have the Elizabeth, Nicholas, and Emily. He goes on about Jason always getting special treatment because they let him take Carly to the boys. Lucky insinuates that maybe Carly should be a suspect (aren’t they cousins?) and Jason shoots that down. Jason answers his questions and just as they are done, Mac inquires whether or not there is anyone that Jason would like...

The Assassination of Lucky Spencer Must Stop!

Image
Let me preface this by commending Greg Vaughn on the wonderful work he does with the character of Lucky Spencer. He brings across what the writers want wonderfully. With that said, I cannot be the only one that is tired of Lucky Spencer and his woes. I refuse to accept that anyone can be sympathetic to what he is going through right now. If you are, I endeavor to change your mind. Why? Well, it is not because I inherently dislike like Lucky. I believe that powers that be (TBTB) in GHland are murdering the fun loving, caring character viewers of General Hospital once adored. In reality, this slow assassination did not start with his drug habit. For any long term General Hospital fan, Lucky hasn’t been himself since he was “killed” in the apartment fire only to be found years later after being Helena’s captive where he was brainwashed. The person that returned in the role of Lucky Spencer was Jacob Young, not Jonathan Jackson. That was a marvelous choice if the intention was for loyal fa...
General Hospital With Jason Morgan’s trial for the first degree murder of Lorenzo Alcazar under full swing, every one is on edge. Ric Lansing is working over time to ruin Jason and Sonny Corinthos Jr . and he does not at all care about the collateral damage. He has called Elizabeth Spencer to the stand and has backed her so far into a corner that she looks like a frightened cat. First she has to tell everyone in the courtroom that she slept with Jason while her husband, Lucky Spencer , who was oblivious to the affair watches on with a hurt expression on his face. Then Ric buries her completely by asking her if Jake Martine Spencer is actually Jason’s. Will she be able to bring herself to admit that truth? Ric is a dirty rotten slime ball that deserves to lose everything he has. He should have fallen out of grace a long time ago after the whole poisoning Liz and trapping Carly in the panic room business. Somehow, he managed to keep Elizabeth as a friend but after the trial, there i...
The Bitch Slap Heard Throughout Soap Land OMG! I was watching my digital recorded episode of General Hospital today and thought that it was a pretty good one. I enjoyed seeing Lulu and Logan together. I loved that Amelia was still trying to stick it to Sam. It was nice that Nicholas was showing an interest in his brother's welfare. Of course, as much as I love to hate her, Carly was getting on my nerves by being all up in Jason's business. Then she decides to go over to Jason's penthouse to make sure that Sam leaves without absconding the silverware. Well, I was shocked when Sam back hands her across the face. Seriously, it was the funniest thing. I know I should not have laughed with the both of them being ticked off and all, but I couldn't help myself. Even though I can't stand Sam right now (actually, I never could), I was so loving her at that moment. She pulled that hand back and back handed Carly so bad, I was half expecting her to say, "Bitch, where...

A mother in despair. Screen capture taken from General Hospitals Happening2. Great Site for GH Lovers! General Hospital's Missing Baby This week on General Hospital a baby goes missing and it is on. Can you imagine having a little precious baby boy whom you just love to pieces all of a sudden disappearing in what seems to be the blink of your eyes? I can't even begin to imagine what that would feel like. Elizabeth Spencer is having just another regular day at the park with her two children when she put her infant son hin his stroller and paused to tie the laces of her toddler's sneakers. She turned her back away from baby Jake for just one instant and when she turned back to buckle him in, he was gone. Now as much as I dislike what a character is doing like how I am hating Liz still keeping the paternity of Jake a secret, I don’t wish that kind of torment on any mother. One can only imagine all the thoughts that are going through her head. Did someone find out that Jason is...

My television obsession is back! Really it never left but with the return of Heroes and Veronica Mars , I am book for Monday and Tuesday nights once again. Yes! So there is so much to talk about with Heroes and Veronica Mars . I really wish I had the time to properly devote for a podcast. I also want to discuss General Hospital and Grey's Anatomy . Until then let me just say that I could totally jump PETER PETRELLI's bones. Ever since he started collecting powers and asserting himself, I knew he was going to be fine. Now why did they have to saddle him with that damn Nikki/Jessica. Veronica Mars I love that it's back. I especially love the soapy ending with her kissing Piz and Logan catching them. Really, who doesn't know that Logan will always want him some Veronica. Oh, all the case solving stuff is cool too. So look for my next podcast where I talk about all these juicy tidbits.
Now I'm working on my show for all the stuff I have been watching on televion. That's going to take a while but here's what to expect me yakking about: 24 Heroes General Hospital The Real Wedding Crashers Grey's Anatomy October Road Ugly Betty Book: "Can I Get an Amen" Please check back for more on those. For now have a great weekend!

General Hospital This week is the big wedding. They did get married! Lucky and Liz that is. Oh well, this is going to be a long and dramatic bust up. You know he is going to find out that Liz isn't carrying his baby. When he does it is going to be drama. He has always been jealous of Jason especially when he came back from "death" by fire. They are going to play that for all it is worth. When is the baby due? May. It is going to be a very interesting ride. Listen to my GH Rant & Rave Recap.
General Hospital Today So, you've heard me talk about the GH hostage situation. Since I won't be doing a show on a daily basis, I thought I would highlight my ten favorite and not so favorite moments. 10. Sam recognizes Jason. I don't really have much to say about this. I guess it's a good thing. 9. Georgie sighting. So, I was excited to see her after a while because she is one of my favorites ... but wait ... 8. Georgie shrieking. I know she was worried about her sister and all but the whole screaming at Lucky thing annoyed me. I'm not trying to take away from Lucky's part in the whole situation but screaming on him as if Maxie was taken advantage off was totally off base. I know that Georgie makes sense most of the time. 7. Dillon going on and on about Lulu. Oh shut up already! His uncle is fighting for his life (the same uncle he was investigating) and you are over here wondering about Lulu. Just break up with Georgie already and that way I can fast forward a...
General Hospital 02/12/07 Listen to my update of General Hospital. Watch the last few segments of the show too. The last few minutes are the best. Spinelli is pretty funny in this one too.
General Hospital Sweeps has started. Okay, so my favorite soap of all time is General Hospital. If you don't know it, now you know. This week they are doing a soap version of 24. I was a little skeptical at first but today was surely worth the anticipation. The opening sequence right down to the brutal hostage take over. This month is definitely the month to watch. This is a video montage of the opening scene. Every day starts like this, minus the music and slow motion :).
I am a romantic, maybe too much so. I love romance in books, movies, television and espcially soaps. General Hospital Patrick and Robin are just too cute for words. I like the simplicity of their latest disaggreement: The Couch Saga. I love their latest scenes together, and I am not usually a fan of the voice over but I think they do a great job.
