So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 Recap

Well, another week and I sitll wish Kupono was gone. Check out all the updates on my twitter page at http://twitter.com/ParlezEntertain .
SYTYCD: Oscar & Vitolio, Jazz with M. Moor, Their getup was scary but the performance was on point. They did a good job.
SYTYCD: OK can they please stop with the damn inner gansta business. Hip hop is not all about gangsta this and gangsta that.
SYTYCD: Karla & Jonathan, hip hop with Dave Scott. Poor Jonathan is so bad. Karla is hot. But they are painful to watch as a couple.
SYTYCD: You know what time it is. Still trying to understand why Max is gone and Kapono still here.

The Proposal 2009 Sandra Bullock

Image
When high-powered book editor Margaret faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that she's actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew, who she's tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own. The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another ( http://movies.yahoo.com/ ). This is a romantic comedy, so expect the expected as far as plot points go and how the film turns out. I love romantic comedies so I was already off to a good start. I love Sandra Bullock as a serious actress and in a comedic role, so seeing her in a romantic comedy after so many years was a bonus. Over all, I thoroughly enjoyed The Proposal . There was a touch of Devil Wear’s Prada that was perfect for Sandra Bullock because it made me anticipate her softening up. I laughed throughout mos

About.com has a New Home Page

How late am I on this? Obviously my searching has been limited. I like using about every now and then because it is more focused on the exact topical information that is needed. It is really a great site. However, I hated the two million and one pop up and advertisements. The home page was just a regular thing. I really did not pay much attention to it. However, I am loving the new look and how it allows you to select and brows topics and channels. I am a browser some times. The search result page is the same and the other expert pages are laid out the same, but a great improvement on the home page site. I Admit a Focus Problem

I’m focused man. Okay, not really, not all the time. I have to admit that I have a focusing problem. What exactly does that mean? Hmmm, well, I can focus on a task at hand. I can focus on a detailed plan. I can focus on an issue. Unfortunately, I cannot really focus in general terms which I why I must have a plan or a list or something at all times. Plans, lists, to-do’s or whatever help keep me going in one direction. Without it, I would be scattered all over the place because there is just so much to be done. I get myself into all sorts of little projects or come up with new little things to occupy my time. I am pretty sure that is why nursing school is kicking my butt right now. It literally sucks up most of my time, and I cannot really get into any of the little projects that I enjoy working on. My to-do list is going completely unchecked and it is making me crazy. Really, completing nursing school should be at the top of my list; but who want to wait a whole year to check somethin

Cheney to Publish His Memoir

Cheney to Publish His Memoir What I want to know is who the heck cares. The main issue with this is that now I will have to put up with his media blitz for the promotion of this book. It will be just the opportunity he needs to bash all things post Bush. It is such a waste of good air time and paper. Cheney to Publish His Memoir New York Times A spokesman for Simon & Schuster said Mr. Cheney would write a book for Threshold Editions, where Mary Matalin, his close friend and adviser, ...

CBS reruns beat new ABC, NBC programs

CBS reruns beat new ABC, NBC programs Really? Why is this even a headline? Who watched new programs during the summer? I would expect the new premiers to perform poorly. The only thing I care about this summer is So You Think You Can Dance. Most people associate the summer months with reruns. I anticipate the fall because I expect all the networks to bust out the box with their new programming. It is like a feeding frenzy of television shows. It fits right in with the hectic nature of a new school year. It's expected. People are not really paying attention to anything new that comes out right now. If something does come out, it better be really special so that the word of mouth carries it through to the new "official" season. It's not rocket science, is it? CBS reruns beat new ABC, NBC programs Los Angeles Times By city news service Continuing a trend this summer, Sunday's premieres of first-run scripted programming on ABC and NBC drew lackluster ratings, with vie

Who is this Nikki Finke?

Who is this Nikki Finke ? First of all, I say that with much respect to this proffessional woman who has apparantely handled her business well. It is just the hater in me that is asking LOL. Since I am a little out of the loop on all the new celebrity infotainment sites popping up every other week, I really did not know who she was. Upon further inspection, she is a long time journalist who, apparently, worked her way into a nice payday. After so many years in the industry it seems well deserved. Congratulations. The jist of it is that she created an infotainment website, grew her readership and three years later sold it for a nice sum. Check out her Wiki page to learn more about her past accomplishments. Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily is sold to Mail.com Los Angeles Times Finke, the blog's owner and writer-editor, will get a seven-figure sum for the sale plus millions over the life of a five-year contract as well as a portion of the site's ad revenue, a source says

Can Chris Brown Make a Rebound?

Can Chris Brown Make a Rebound? Uhhh, yea. Hello? McFLy? Can Chris Brown still make money? Do fans still love him, even now? Yes and yes. Poor Janet Jackson has not been able to make a rebound after the whole "wardrobe malfunction" debacle but Chris Brown beats a woman down, and it will be no time before he is back on tour and his album is selling to the masses. Now, do not misunderstand me, I think he has to watch his step. The boy is still young enough to get himself into all sorts of mess, which is going to make this straight and narrow pretty difficult. If he even blinks wrong, there will be a back lash. I am all for forgiveness if the apology is sincere and the effort to change is genuine and it does not happen again. I do hope that he takes this seriously and it serves as a wake up call. God bless the boy and Rihanna (not in a together sense) because the scrutiny is on. Can Chris Brown Make a Rebound? People Magazine Chris Brown won't go to jail for assaulting Rihan

'Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen': Alright Already

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is in theaters today. So, alright already with the 201 post about what to expect, what not to expect and blah blah blah. Can't we (regular folk) just go watch the movie and decide for ourselves? Unfortunately, I will not be able to watch this until, most likely, Sunday night. I'm pretty ticked about that but what's a girl to do. This is one of the most highly anticipated movies on the year, so far. I am looking forward to it and really hope it does not dissapoint. 'Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen' Cheat Sheet: Everything You ... MTV.com These are the secrets you need to know about before seeing 'Revenge of the Fallen.' By Larry Carroll It could be the biggest blockbuster of the year, and millions of words have been written in anticipation of its opening.

Lionel Richie (Feat. Akon) - Just Go

Lionel's still got it. Maybe the real reason I really like this song is because I really need to just go, go, go ... drop everything and just go." No, this is a very nice, island feeling song. The video though is just okay to me.

The Man Who Can't Be Moved- The Script

This is a beautiful song. I love it. I love the sentiment behind it. Now, if he was talking about not moving outside of her bedroom window, I would be worried about the stalker factor. The Script US Home

Sean Kingston is Fire Burning

OMGosh, Fire Burning is my jam right now. I love a good dance video to. Too bad his So You Think You Can Dance performance was horrible. I still love this joint though. http://www.seankingston.com/

So You Think You Can Dance Season 5

So, the first episode is over and oh my, it was a wonderful opener. I am not sure they can live up to this season opener. For updates and comments on each of the performance (except the first three. Sorry, I was putting my babies to bed) go to my Twitter or Face Book pages. I will attempt to do this every week. My Tweets are also on the side bar some where, so scroll down to find them and then join me on Twitter or FB. I am worried about my Vitolio. His performance was a little weak compared to some of the others. However, I am hoping that he stays and gets another shot to impress. Personally, I think Paris and Tony are in real trouble. The Dream, a little violent?

I love this song and I like the video. I think Nick Canon did a really good job. But Mariah Carey as a ghettofied mama? She a little too old to be looking that but I will give her props because she actually pulled it off. This was sooooo much better than Dream's video for Roch that Thing. Am I the only one wondering why the heck Dream picked up the frying pan? This is where Mariah won me over because she gave him that "boy, you must be crazy" subtle look. Anyway,

When you do not want to blog

Time is a very hot commodity for me at the moment. I anticipate that will be the case for, at least, the next year. Before, I could waste my time as I saw fit or really do whatever I want with it outside of work. However, with school sucking up every spare moment I have (did that sound bitter?), it is difficult to live free.   Blogging and writing is my outlet; however, even that is proving difficult lately. There is a motivation factor that impairs me from getting into my creative writing as I would like. Even if I have time to write one paragraph, I should seize it. Unfortunately, I do not. Instead, I find ways to lament over my professional career as a nonprofessional writer. Bottom line is that writers write and no matter what, I should seize every moment. I am working on that.   The other issue is this blog, which I enjoy because it is my escape. The problem is that on some days, like today, I just do not care about who just had a baby, who is going to have a baby, who is suff

No MTV Movie Awards for you!

I usually do not miss an award show and definitely not the MTV Movie awards. Last night though (it was on last night right?) I completely missed the show. This morning, I am reading that Twilight swept, Eminem got a lap dance, and the antics were shocking.   The thing is, now that I have missed it, I am not really missing it. Truth be told, I do even really care that much. Now this is truly problematic. I blog about entertainment and I just missed one of the biggest nights in entertainment. I should be down right ashamed.   Wait ... wait for it ...   Nope. Sorry. It's not coming. I missed the 2009 MTV Movie Awards and I just do not care.
