A Clean Funny

So this is another little tid bit I got in my e-mail box. I thought it was pretty funny. A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote "Revelation 3:20" on the back of it and stuck it in the door. When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, "Genesis 3:10." Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins "Behold, I stand at the door and knock." Genesis 3:10 reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked." Remember when the funniest jokes were the clean ones? They still are!"A cheerful heart is good medicine" (Prov. 17:22) Now, pass it on!

Say a Prayer

Can I just tell you that I truly dislike chain letters even "Christian" ones. I just can't stand that I have to prove something by forwarding the letter on. I feel that I do not really need to do a darn thing to prove anything to anybody. I guess that is that rebel (just a touch) in me. Saying all that, I did a an e-mail that I really liked, so I will share it. Keep in mind that I am posting this exactly as it reads in the e-mail minus the request to forward it on. It is a great prayer. --------------------------------- Dear Lord, I thank You for this day,I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning.I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.Help me to start this Day with a new attitude and plenty of gr...

Those Born 1920-1979

I get a lot of e-mail and most of the time, I never get to read them all. Granted a lot of them are spam or from different lists I have joined. Every so often though, I will get something that is funny or interesting or whatever. Of course, I do not know who the author is. I am sure some of you have already seen this but for those who have not, I thought it was kind cute. Taken from the chain e-mail ---------------------------------- Those Born 1920-1979READ TO THE BOTTOM FOR QUOTE OF THE MONTH BY JAY LENO. IF YOU DON'T READ ANYTHING ELSE---VERY WELL STATED TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!! First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes. Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on ...
