We Deserve Better than what We Allow

Image
We Deserve Better than what We Allow Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we realize that we deserve better than what we have been allowing ourselves to get. Let’s talk about my podcasting, for example, I realize the microphone and equipment that I purchased are crappy. This is my second go around at it too. The first one I purchased was a dud right off the start but I waited too long to address the issue so I am stuck with it- money lost. I decided to get another one that appeared easier to use; however, the sound quality on the new microphone sucks. I deserve better than sucky sound quality. You as my listeners deserve better than sucky sound quality.  So now I have to take some more steps that I really don’t have the time for nor do I want to. I have to plan out how I am going to address this. Do research into getting a better quality product that will provide sound quality that is up to my standards and take action to make it happen. It takes effort and action and mo...

Five Simple Steps to Sacrificing for the Future

Image
Do what today others won't, so tomorrow you can do what other's can't. -Brian Rogers Loop Accomplishment  and reaching our goals is about sacrifice. Everything takes some level of effort from us. How much effort we are wiling to exert is the difference between sitting on the couch in front of the television for an couple of hours and doing something productive towards your goal, something we may no really want to do but is necessary to get to the next level. As much as it is about what we are doing, it is also about what the next person is not doing. Did you know accomplishment is rewarding to our sense of self and well being? The effort we make to get where we are going helps reaffirm our self-esteem when that goal is reached. A strong sense of self is a building block in stress management and stress relief. While getting there may require we step outside of our comfort zone, the reward in arriving there adds to the overall enrichment of our lives. Remember these f...

No More Low Self Esteem

You are worthy, We are worthy Lack of self esteem is a bitch. There is no other way to put it. A lack of self worth impedes people from going after their true glory. It suffocates the mind and leaves us starving for more, only we have no idea what it is we are seeking, so we search out the wrong things to fill us. I am not sure when or what causes the erosion of self esteem to being, but I do know that at some point we have to realize that no matter the opinions, the thoughts or circumstances that may come upon us as a living breathing person, we are wroth of more. We are worthy of love. We are worthy of success. We are worthy of joy and happiness and all the gifts that we have lying dormant inside of us, waiting. Let us not be satisfied with our mere existence. For the virtue of my existence alone gives me cause to strive for more. My existence regardless of reason or cause is proof enough that the universe, nature, science, cellular reproduction and God made me worthy of ...

Be Strong and Courageous!

Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you where ever you go. – Joshua 1:9 Are you sometimes doubtful about the future or saddened by the way your life is going? It is okay to feel that way sometimes. Some of the greatest biblical leaders had doubts even after they had been face to face with the miracles of God. Life is not always going to be at its best. We are not yet in heaven, so there will be hard times. This is not our final home. We are passing through this world and trying to make the best out of what are given. What separates us from the rest of the world is our love for God. What should drive us is not the need to live a better life for ourselves but to live a better life for God. Day in and day out we should be working and living for Him. We should be a shinning light for the rest of the world that shows how glorious we are no matter what we are going through. We still laugh and love because God is with us. Wha...
