My children dragged me to see this movie and I guess I am glad that they did ... sorta kinda. It is about a teenager, MK, who after losing her mother has to live with her eccentric father in the forest. He is a little out of touch because he is preoccupied with proving that there are tiny people living in the forest. She wants him to change so they can have a relationship. When MK realizes that he is too obsessed with the crazy idea, she decides to leave him but not before somehow getting mixed up with them and shrinking herself. The movie was cute. It had its chuckle moments. I was so glad when I did not have to listen to Beyonce anymore. I am a fan of hers but the girl needs to give up acting. True by Solange Rate: 10 Solange released True, an extended play record, last last year with Losing You as the leading single. The major problem that I have with this is that it was not a full album release. I absolutely love Losing You. I think I have listened to it 100 times already. It is refreshing and fun yet heart tugging, if you pay attention to the lyrics. The video for it is artsy fartsy but pretty neat. My favorite two tracks on the extended play are Losing You and Bad Girls. I think I will be going on a Solange binge because her style is a little R&B soul with a touch alternative. What I really like about her is that she does not bow down to conformity. She does her own thing and it is slightly out of the box. All in all True is definitely worth a down load.

Blue Ivy Carter Yes, yes. By this time, the world is aware that Blue Ivy Carter has arrived. Personally, I think they should release the birth video for those that doubt she was ever pregnant in the first place. Then again, who is to say that the footage was not doctored. Oh, well. I guess that "rumor" can still be in circulation except with the twist being that it was a surrogate or test tube baby all along. Now Blue already has a twitter trend, song, and acronym (BIC). All of these accomplishments before she has slept through the night. My my my we are obsessive. Well, congratulations and God bless another family.

Beyonce 4 is hot. I would not bother with the two disk special because I am not really feeling the other two songs. However, the tracks on the main album are all hot. Most of the album is just plain out good R&B stuff. A couple of tracks are reminiscent of the 90's and she has a couple of soulful ballads as well. I have to say that I was a bit skeptical at first, especially with reports of her record label not being pleased. I love the album though. She is giving Adele some competition in my rotation.

Have you seen her new video? Yes, you have. You saw it in "Single Ladies" and "Diva" and part of it in "Hero." Leotards, black and white, three girls dancing and Beyonce in the middle. Um, isn't this taking a theme or gimmick a little too far? I love the song and all but really? Does she not think her fans would want to see something different, a little more creative, in her videos.

Derek Charles (Idris Elba), a successful asset manager who has just received a huge promotion, is blissfully happy in his career and in his marriage to the beautiful Sharon (Beyoncé). If you have seen The Temp, Play Misty for Me, and the most notable and very successful Fatal Attraction-all great movies- then you have seen this movie. I guess they figured we have never seen it done the “ethnic” way. And trust me folks, we still haven’t. Idris, who I am obsessed with myself, plays the stereotypical deer-in-the headlight male who has no clue, so for one whole hour we watch his stupidity escalate. I just got John Legend's Evolver as a gift and, to be honest, was not all that excited about it. But when I popped that sucker into my music player it was done. There are seven reasons why you should cop Evolver : tracks 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13 and bonus track 14. I wish I had time for long reviews like a used to do because I would break it down for you. Just trust when I say that Evolver is hot. Now the other tracks are good too. There is only one song that I could totally do without and that is the third track, 'It's Over' f/ Kanye West . I skip over that one every time and the intro of course. I was rocking that Beyonce , I Am Sasha Fierce , for a minute but it kept ticking me off with 3 songs on one disk and 3 on a second one (I'm exaggerating a bit but it might as well have been that way). Now, I'm hooked on John Legend for a while.

Her father, Mathew Knowels, and sister, Solange, have partnered to bring out a line of hip hop pre-school toys.
