I know I am a month late on this but I did not really pay attention to it before. I just chalked it up to another celebrity family drama, blah blah. However, the article got a second look. Now that I am a mom two times over, there are certain things that do not bother me when it comes to my children. However, when I was a first time mom, everything bothered me. Being a first time mom is a hard thing. My husband was with me all the way and it was still difficult for me.
There are so many doubts and so many different emotions to get accustomed to when you have a new baby and it is your very first time. Personally, I could not imagine having to share my baby outside of my home with another family. So when I read Gisele’s thoughtless quote, I cringed and wanted to punch her in the face for every new mom out there.
The girl talks too much first of all. Seriously, she sometimes has diarrhea of the mouth and it must have been on in full affect when she said this, “When we are in L.A. we have Johnny 50 percent of the time,” Gisele says. “He’s a little angel—the sweetest, most cuddly, loving baby. I feel blessed to have him in my life.” “I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child. I feel it is, 100 percent,” Gisele says. “I want him to have a great relationship with his mom, because that’s important, but I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day.”
As I am channeling my new mom feelings, I just want to punch this heifer in the mouth. The nerves of her to act like she can sanction that child’s relationship with his mom because when you guys are in LA you have him 50% of the time. Stuff like that makes me want to curse. I remember having issues when my son started to call his babysitter (who is fabulous and wonderful and loves him to pieces) mom. I about had a fit. So, I can only imagine how Bridgett Moynahan must have felt.
Now that my child is older and I am on the second one, I do not mind someone wanting to share the love with them. The more loving they get the better. I will still cut someone if they try to step in mommy’s shoes though.
