Every so often, more than I would like, I fall off my game. The plan not only goes sideways, but it gets completely lost. This happens when an unexpected turn of events interrupts the daily happenings. I get distracted, and then I just stop. I think we have learned to do what is necessary to keep going while cutting off those pursuits that bring us joy or invigorate us or bring us closer to a goal. The chase has come to an end, and we may not even realize or even understand why. It is like we go into our own version of survival mode.
I may be dramatizing what my version of losing focus looks like, but stagnation is worth a little bit of drama. This is something we all go through when “life lifing” catches us off guard. With everything going on in the world and the constant bombardment of it all via social media, the ongoing news cycle, and media powerhouses vying for our attention, it’s no wonder we get stuck in a survival mode rut and forget ourselves, even maybe lose faith in ourselves.
In my effort to get unstuck, I attempted to get back to the basics. One of my basics is researching ways to improve upon my situation and share with you all. Living in our truth or happy place is one of the best remedies against stress that we have access to. So let’s get unstuck together and believe in ourselves again.
