Breathe and Read: Seven Benefits to Reading

In my mind, I have all the time in the world. In reality, I am barely making it through the day with my full sanity intact. Reading settles me and gives me joy. I used to read a lot more than I do now. I am working on getting back to it but good grief life keeps getting in the way lol. I want to read EVERYTHING and since I have started reading nonfiction books and love it, my reading list is even longer.

However, I try to curl up with a book for at least 15 minutes every day. It brings me some peace. If you do a quick Google search you find the top seven benefits of reading listed below.

7 benefits of reading
  • Stress reduction
  • Improved memory
  • Increased knowledge
  • Empathy
  • Improved focus
  • Increased imagination and creativity
  • Boost cognitive function
Breathe and read!

I am still reading Rest is Resistance: A Manifesto by Tricia Hersey and the web novel, My Vampire System, by JKSManga
