Beyonce Has an Ego

Have you seen her new video? Yes, you have. You saw it in "Single Ladies" and "Diva" and part of it in "Hero."

Leotards, black and white, three girls dancing and Beyonce in the middle. Um, isn't this taking a theme or gimmick a little too far? I love the song and all but really? Does she not think her fans would want to see something different, a little more creative, in her videos.

Squid Game Season 2 Teaser Trailer Okay, I am not going to lie to you all, I watched season one of the Squid Game series by complete accident because my son and daughter were watching it, and I was curious. I think they were on the third or fourth episode, and I got hooked. It seems so long ago and came at the right time. I have been waiting not-so-patiently like everyone else for season 2. Well, the teaser trailer was dropped, and I am here for it. Kanaval and Gagot by Sydney Guillaume

A few years ago I posted about Sydney Guillaume, a Haitian choral composure, whose work is being sung by choirs all over the world. Through his art and talent, he is sharing Haitian culture and exposing our marvelous resilience throughout the world. Check out my previous post and his song Twa Tanbou. Kanaval is not new but always puts me in a good mood. It makes me want to get up and dance and revel in the glory of my life. The second song I want to highlight is titled Gagot which basically means a hot mess. I really enjoy this composition because I think it not only captures the essence of the Haitian people but also what life is all about. Often times, we expect or would like to live in this perpetual state of joy and happiness when in reality to live life is to push through layers upon layers of mess.
