Purpose Driven Life Day 7: The Reason For Everything

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen. ~Romans 11:36

This chapter was very interesting because so many people talk about living for God and following God and being faithful to God; but the reason why some people feel that way is because God will bless us. This chapter clearly demonstrates that He may not bless us in the way we want or hope. We should not care what God will or will not bless us with because we should be doing everything for His glory and not to get something back. I know ... it is easier said than done. Even with the best intentions sometimes that selfish thought sneaks up on us. Nevertheless, everything should be done first, for the love of God and second, to glorify Him. There should be no selfishness involved. Furthermore, we should not even doubt that God will take care of us. Of course that is another area I sometimes struggle with.

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! 34"Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?" 35"Who has ever given to God that God should repay him?" 36For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen ~Romans:33-36

I was a bit confused after I read Day 7. Then I decided to google it and see what other ppl whom have read this is thinking. And your conclusion to Day 7 makes so much more sense to me. Its not about me its about Him, its not about what He can do for me, instead its about what I do for Him. I thank you for your thoughtful words. It truly was a great help.

Thank you so much for your positive comment. It helps me to keep on and even motivates me to write more because I have helped even one person.
